Trinidad bred with the fiery spirit of Reggae coursing through his veins, Major Riley is a musical maverick blazing an undeniable trail. Born on November 6th 1962, in the Sanger Grande community of Trinidad and Tobago, Major Riley is a multi-genre artist whose cornucopia of talents sees him craft Roots Reggae, Soca and Dancehall hits effortlessly. He has nurtured an infinite love of music from a tender age that has never wavered or faltered. By 1996, Riley rose to prominence with his debut track “Signs Of The Time” and since then has maintained a career spanning twenty-five years of consistent success.
Major Riley proudly boasts the great Bob Marley as his musical inspiration and is filled with the simple drive to create great music that engages and entertains while inciting hopefulness.
A multifaceted individual, Riley plays the guitars, is a masterful lyricist, and is a sizzling performer who has graced the stages with the likes of Grammy-winning Shaggy, Sean Paul, Shabba Ranks, Soca Queen Alison Hinds, Reggae Rebel Sizzla, smooth crooner Sanchez, and Scrunta.
